About City Club
City Club is the membership app for City Pub Group. City Pub Group PLC is a company incorporated in England and Wales with the registered number 07814568. Our registered office address is: Essel House 2nd Floor, 29 Foley St, London, W1W 7TH (‘Supplier’, ‘Us’, ‘We’ or ‘City Club’).
City Club enables our customer (‘members’, ‘people’, ‘you’) to book, order, pay, earn and redeem (‘spend’) reward points (‘loyalty points’, ‘points’, ‘City Club points’) via our app in City Pub sites (‘pubs’, ‘hotels’, ‘venues’) and with our partners. Please refer to the ‘How it works’ section in the City Club menu tab to find out more.
City Club points
Earning City Club points
City Club points are earned as a percentage of a member’s spend on the app. City Club points can also be earned for interactions with the City Club app and interactions with City Pub Group and or it’s partner channels. These point earning interactions may vary from time to time. When points are earned they will be added to the member’s points balance which is visible on the City Club app homepage.
Redeeming City Club points
City Club points can be redeemed for credits in the City Club app. Credits can be used to pay for, or contribute towards, transactions paid via the app. City Club points can also be redeemed against other products, services, and partners. These redemption routes may vary from time to time as may the redemption value of points. When points are redeemed they will be deducted from the member’s points balance which is visible on the City Club app homepage. We reserve the right to deduct City Club points at any time if they were credited in error.
City Club points expire after 12 months of no points earning or redemption activity.
The City Club programme is currently free of charge to use and will remain so unless City Pub Group find a reason to review this policy.
If you have a query about your points you should contact City Club via the Support tab in the menu section of the City Club app.
Please also refer to the ‘Points and Credits’ section in the City Club menu tab.
Your account information is viewable on the City Club app. In order to keep your account details safe, please do not share them with anyone. If you think that someone has accessed your account without permission, please let us know immediately. Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we shall be entitled to assume that anyone using your details to access your account is you or has been authorised by you. You agree that we shall have no liability arising out of the provisions of your account details or login information to any third party service, whether you have done so on purpose, accidentally or otherwise.
City Pub Group reserves the right to perform checks and audits on a member’s account at any time without prior notice. Upon discovery of discrepancies, or suspected discrepancies of the City Club programme terms, your ability to use the app will be suspended until the matter has been satisfactorily resolved. Upon account closure for any violation, or suspected violation of the programme terms, we reserve the right to change, replace, modify or suspend or cancel your membership with immediate effect.
If you would like to transfer points from a deceased City Club member’s account to another City Club account, we must be provided with a copy of the death certificate and the undisputed request to transfer the City Club points. Following the points transfer, the deceased member’s account will be closed.
Account deletion due to inactivity
We reserve the right to delete accounts post a period of 12 months of inactivity. If an account is deleted any City Club points in the account will automatically be forfeited and can no longer be used.
We reserve the right to update or change, replace, and/or temporarily suspend any aspect of the City Club programme at any time with immediate effect upon notice to our members, at our total discretion for any reason. We will of course aim to give our members reasonable notice of any material changes through any means possible. If you do not agree to any changes we make, you can contact us to cancel your membership and delete your account.
Deleted accounts and points
If you cancel your account, or if your account is terminated for any reason, any City Club points in the account will automatically be forfeited and can no longer be used. We hope our members enjoy using City Club, however, we cannot condone fraudulent, irregular, dishonest or suspicious activity and we reserve the right to change, suspended or terminate membership as a result of such activity, including:
i) Using incorrect information to earn City Club points.
ii) Attempting to earn City Club points which you are not eligible for, including trying to claim points that you have already been given.
iii) Attempting to use stolen or counterfeit vouchers or codes.
v) Failure to comply with the Programme Terms.
v) Misuse of the City Club programme including any threatening behaviour, abusive or insulting language when dealing with our team or other members.
We retain the right to terminate your membership of the programme in the event of any breach of the programme terms.
Account closure by a member.
You can end your membership at any time. When you end your membership you will no longer be able to earn or redeem City Club points. Any points remaining in your account will be forfeited and your account will be deleted.
Closure of the City Club programme
We may decide at our sole discretion to end the City Club programme. Should this happen, we will inform you of this decision and the time you have to redeem your points. Except in the event of insolvency or if we are required to close the programme by law, you will be able to redeem your points during the notice period. Upon termination of the City Club programme, your participation will cease with immediate effect.
We will always aim to present clear, accurate and helpful information to our members. But from time to time we may make mistakes. We exclude all liability to you for any loss, delay, damage or injury resulting from any mistakes and their consequences. We cannot guarantee the availability, uptime, functionality or accuracy of our services. Our services may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates or otherwise. We apologise for any inconvenience should this happen, but we exclude any liability for any loss, delay, damage or injury resulting from a lack of availability, uptime or functionality of our services. City Pub Group is not responsible or liable to our members for any direct or indirect business or financial loss, including but not limited to direct or indirect loss of profits, savings, revenue, contracts or wasted expenditure, which is connected with your participation in City Club. This is because any products or services provided to you are for your personal use only. We are also not responsible or liable for any loss or corruption of data which is connected with your participation in City Club.
The City Club platform contains links to partner websites and services provided by our partners and third parties. City Pub Group is not responsible for the material on such sites. City Pub Group is not liable for any loss, delay, damage or injury which occurs in connection with the use of a product or service provided by any of our partners.
City Pub Group is not responsible to you if we breach these Bupp Programme Terms or anything else that is beyond our reasonable control e.g. force majeure impacting delivery. If we breach the Programme Terms or we fail to use reasonable care and skill which results in loss or damage to you, we will only be responsible for losses or damage to you that is foreseeable and we completely exclude our responsibility or liability to you for any direct loss, claim or damage, or any punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages. Even if the loss or damage is foreseeable, you accept and agree that by becoming a member of City Club and in circumstances where you incur any loss or damage, our total liability to compensate you for that loss or damage is limited, as relevant, to the number of City Club points you used to obtain the product or service in question. The value of any loss or damage you may suffer or incur beyond this amount is excluded.
We may update our platform from time to time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are using the latest version of the app.
The City Club platform may only be used for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. In addition to compliance with these Programme Terms, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations regarding the City Club platforms and any transactions conducted on or through City Club.
City Club retains ownership of the points in all accounts. You agree that the risk of loss passes to you in respect of City Club points transferred to your account. We cannot be held responsible for fraudulent use of points due to actions by a member.
You are wholly responsible for any tax liability incurred as a result of your membership of City Club.
If any provision or part of the City Club programme terms is or becomes illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the legality, validity and enforceability of all of the other provisions and parts of these terms will not be affected. No failure or delay by us in exercising or enforcing any right, power or remedy which arises under these programme terms shall operate as a waiver by us, shall be effective unless in writing and signed by our authorised representative.
You agree that we may assign any of our rights and or novate, transfer sub-contract or delegate any or all of our obligations under these terms to any third party. You may not assign any of your rights, and or novate, transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of your obligations under these terms.
To the extent permissible by local law, these terms and the relationship between City Club and each member and any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with these Programme Terms or their subject matter of formation, shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of them.
You acknowledge that all City Club content is owned by City Pub Group and shall always remain owned by us. Our content and platform are made available to you solely to enable you to participate in City Club. You acknowledge and agree that you may not use our content or access to our platforms for any commercial purposes to generate income in any manner or for any other purposes without our prior written permission. Use of our content and platform for any other purpose is strictly prohibited without written permission. You agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, reverse engineer, compile or create any derivative works from the content or our platforms.
